Does the idea of Donald Trump becoming the next President of the United States have you pulling your hair out? Is Brexit giving you separation anxiety? Maybe it’s time to consider moving to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Victoria boasts having the mildest climate in North America. On average there are 95 days a year where Victoria is over 20 °C (68 °F) and yet only 15 days where the temperature falls below 0 °C. (32 °F) Victoria generally gets 1/3 less rain than Vancouver British Columbia as well. Sunny days! You bet. Victoria is the Sunniest coastal city in Canada so if you love the water and the sun, this is the place to be.
Vancouver has had a red hot real estate market for years, with foreign money pouring in and making it practically unaffordable and it was just recently been hit with a 15% tax for anyone purchasing a home that isn’t a Canadian resident. Victoria does NOT have that tax and yet is only a 20 minute flight, or a short 1 ½ hour ferry ride away. Combined with substantially lower housing prices already saving money with Victoria!
The Greater Victoria area boasts world class restaurants, some of the best SCUBA diving in this hemisphere, and nationally ranked colleges and universities. This really is a great place.
With the booming real estate market, the job opportunities in construction here are endless. But that’s not all as Victoria boasts all types of industry and work. Everything from tech start-ups to government to the home of Rugby Canada, and plenty in between.
